Specific aerial platform for operations on live power lines in compliance with the DIN/VDE 1 kV standard
Truck-mounted aerial platforms, compliant with DIN VDE standards for 1 kV isolation, are used for aerial works, such as maintenance and installation on low-voltage power lines up to 1 kV. DIN VDE standards (Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik) are German regulations and standards in the field of electrical engineering.

- Aerial platform made of high strength steel that grants maximum rigidity in boom and maximum working safety.
- Subframe part to anchor the platform to the truck and to lay the platform to the ground through the outriggers.
- Hydraulic oil tank in easy to reach position to check and restore the oil level.
- Stability guaranteed by No.4 outriggers, each pair is composed of two hydraulic jacks with dual effect connected to the main circuit.
- Turret with double purpose: boom support and rotation, a hydraulic engine coupled with a reducer allows turret 360° continuous rotation on fifth wheel coupling and a rotating distributor is assembled inside the turret to allow hydraulic connections between the fixed and turning parts without hoses twisting.
- The main telescopic boom made of 2 elements (1 fixed + 1 telescopic extension). The positioning of the telescopic cylinders and hoses inside the boom guarantee protection against collisions, accidental fall of tools, etc. The boom allows increasing both vertically and horizontally the platform working area.
- Fiberglass basket insulated up to 1 kV. Against accidental contacts, mounted over fiberglass special insulators to grant even more safety for insulation between boom and basket. The basket is made to support and protect the operators. The aerial platform can be moved by controls positioned in the basket.
- 100% hydraulic controls with proportional system in low pressure (25 BAR only) to allow gradual and accurate movements. The hydraulic system in low pressure guarantees a long-lasting life to the platform with maintenance costs reduced at minimum. Electrically insulated controls inside the basket thanks to special fiberglass levers.
- Structure and boom are composed of hoses made of high strength steel to guarantee great stability to the whole platform.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF STANDARD FEATURES
- • The platform controls from the basket allow 2 simultaneous movements.
• For a longer and guaranteed service life of the hydraulic system all the switchable controls by the basket and all the hydraulic hoses positioned inside the booms that reach the distributor in the turret work in low pressure 25 Bar.
• Emergency controls from the ground.
• The stop valves are directly mounted on each hydraulic cylinder.
• Controls levers with automatic return in rest position. The movements of the whole platform are activated by levers, respectively positioned in the following controls panels:
– basket: platform control board
– turret: platform control board for emergency only
– subframe: outriggers control board
- • Interlock outriggers-boom: Outriggers block when the boom is not in rest position + Boom block when outriggers are not completely stabilized.
• Insulators: special insulators made of a non-conductive material that insulate all the mechanical connections to the turret. In case of accidental contacts of the telescopic boom to power lines, the current does not pass through, truck and subframe are safe.
• Boom and outriggers block when the PTO in the cab is not inserted.
• No need of any device to limit lateral outreach (100% SAFE): the operator can safely move within the whole working area with no need of any specific device that limits movements. Thanks to special design of our model, EVERY working position you can reach with the basket is ALWAYS inside the safe working area.
• Emergency hand pump allows every movement in case the main pump is damaged, it allows the return of the boom and outriggers in rest position; it can also work with flat battery.
• All movements are obtained through hydraulic double-acting jacks with dual safety valve checking both inlet and outlet of oil from the cylinder.
• Removable Magnetic yellow flashing beacon mounted on the vehicle cab.
• Warning light in truck cab indicating the outriggers not completely lowered.
• General emergency stop push-button.
• Thermal protective device for the electric system.
• Safety device to prevent the starter connection if engine is on.
• Boom-cab anti-collision system + Basket-boom anti-collision system (buzzer and stop).
